All 25 country-studies under this program have been analyzed. The results have been brought together in one umbrella-study: Money, Politics, Power: Corruption Risks in Europe (63 p. in English) unveils the causes of many of the financial and political scandals that have dogged nearly every European country in recent years. Drawing on substantial in-country research, the report identifies key cross-cutting gaps in anti-corruption systems of 25 European states. The results are sobering. Europe is faced with significant corruption risks, particularly at the intersection of business and politics. The current system allows for undue influence and wrongful conduct, while avoiding public scrutiny.
